At Layered Works, we aim to dispatch and deliver your order as quickly and smoothly as possible. This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how we handle order processing, dispatch, delivery and any issues that may arise.
1. Order processing
Orders are processed after payment has been received in full.
As many of our products are 3D printed or prepared to order, processing times may vary depending on:
- the item ordered
- current order volume
- stock availability
- whether the item is made to order
- selected product options such as colour or variation
We will always aim to process orders within a reasonable timeframe.
2. Dispatch times
We aim to dispatch orders within the estimated timeframe shown on the website or product page where possible.
Please note that dispatch times are estimates only and may vary during busy periods or where products are made to order.
If there is a significant delay to your order, we will aim to contact you using the email address provided at checkout.
3. Delivery times
Delivery timeframes begin after your order has been dispatched, not when it is placed.
Estimated delivery times may vary depending on:
- your location
- the delivery service used
- seasonal demand
- courier delays
- circumstances outside our control
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
4. Delivery address
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all delivery details entered at checkout are accurate and complete.
We cannot be held responsible for delays, failed deliveries or losses caused by incorrect or incomplete address information supplied when ordering.

5. Delivery services
Orders may be sent using a selected postal or courier service depending on the size, weight and destination of the parcel.
We reserve the right to choose the most suitable delivery method for each order unless a specific service has been offered and selected at checkout.
6. Missed deliveries
If a delivery attempt is missed, the courier may:
- leave the parcel in a safe place
- leave it with a neighbour
- take it to a local collection point
- attempt redelivery
- return it to the sender
It is the customer’s responsibility to follow any tracking updates or delivery instructions provided by the courier.
If an item is returned to us due to a missed delivery or failure to collect it, we may ask the customer to pay any additional delivery costs before the order is resent.
7. Delays in transit
While we aim for all orders to arrive promptly, we are not responsible for delivery delays caused by:
- postal or courier issues
- severe weather
- public holidays
- industrial action
- customs delays where applicable
- incorrect delivery information
- other events beyond our reasonable control
If your parcel appears delayed, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
8. Lost parcels
If you believe your parcel has been lost, please contact us at ku.oc.skrowdereyal@tcatnoc with your order number and full details.
We may need to allow a reasonable amount of time for the courier to complete delivery or investigate the parcel before confirming that it has been lost.
Where appropriate, we will work with the courier to investigate and, if necessary, offer a suitable resolution.
9. Damaged deliveries
If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include:
- your order number
- a description of the damage
- clear photographs of the packaging
- clear photographs of the item
This will help us assess the issue and resolve it as quickly as possible.
10. Incorrect items
If you receive the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible at ku.oc.skrowdereyal@tcatnoc.
Please include your order number and details of what was received so we can review the issue and arrange an appropriate solution.
11. Delivery locations
Please check the website or checkout page for the areas we currently deliver to.
If we are unable to deliver to your location after an order has been placed, we will contact you and issue a refund where appropriate.
12. Customs and import charges
For orders sent outside the UK, customs duties, taxes or import charges may apply depending on the destination country.
These charges are the responsibility of the customer unless clearly stated otherwise.
